BLIK BLIK NEVŘEŇ
ECHOES OF THE FESTIVAL BLIK BLIK
Echoes of the Pilsen BLIK BLIK festival will take place from 10 to 12 April 2026 in the kaolin mine in Nevřeň.
The village of Nevřeň, with 300 inhabitants, is probably the smallest village in the world to host a festival of light. The unique underground environment of the kaolin mine serves as the backdrop for the festival. The festival of light is thus unconventionally held in daylight.
The third annual light festival in the unique environment of the Nevření mine near Pilsen will be themed "The Universe Underground" and will offer an extraordinary audiovisual experience.
Along the 700-meter-long route, the underground labyrinth will be transformed into an imaginary cosmic space. Projections and light installations will connect the raw beauty of the kaolin mine with motifs of galaxies, stardust and the infinite universe, opening a new perspective on light art - an engaging experience that will draw you into the depths of the earth and into the infinity above our heads.

We recommend arriving in Nevřeň at least 30 minutes before the start of the respective time slot, visiting the architecturally interesting information center and taking the approximately 15-minute walk through the forest to the mine.
Nevřeň (ZIP code 330 11) is located 9 kilometers from the largest housing estate in Pilsen, Lochotín, and is best reached by car. Parking is available in the village and the forest road leads to the mine up a gentle hill for approximately 15 minutes.
The mine has a constant temperature of around 9°C throughout the year. We recommend comfortable walking shoes.

INSTALLATIONS
ALIEN CUBE
Author: Kashmir studio (CZ)
Cathegory: light installation
Alien Cube is a mysterious object resembling an artifact from another planet. It evokes the impression of something otherworldly communicating with the universe. Light with layers of textiles creates the illusion of a pulsating body, as if sending a silent signal into space from the depths of the Earth.

ORB CONSTELLATION
Author: Kashmir studio (CZ)
Cathegory: light installation
A collection of precisely laser-cut luminous objects levitating in the space of the last hall. Their light creates an impressive shadow play on the walls, reminiscent of star maps or a mysterious cosmic message – as if these artifacts were created by a civilization millions of light years away.

LUMINIS
Authors: students of Nerudovka Pilsen (CZ)
Cathegory: light installation
The Luminis objects, which appear as fragments of an alien civilization, were created by students of the Nerudovka Secondary Vocational School of Commerce, Applied Arts and Design. The installation already shone at the BLIK BLIK in Pilsen, where it received a positive response from the audience, and therefore it returns in a new constellation as part of the echoes of the BLIK BLIK festival in Nevřeň.

SPACE FLORA
Author: Kashmir studio(CZ)
Category: UV-Installation

KASIOPEJA
Author: Julie Tampierová (CZ)
Cathegory: illusory projection
Happiness can take many forms. Ours – an underground one – is located in perhaps the most intimate chamber of the entire Nevřeň mine, the so-called Wedding Room. The red button activates one of two dozen short video sequences, some of which are tailored specifically to the festival’s theme. The luckiest visitors may even become part of the projection…

KOSMOS
Author: Jakub Nosek (CZ)
Music: NOXJVN
Cathegory: 360° projection
The naturally circular space of the mine cave is transformed into an underground planetarium. The projection on the ceiling and walls surrounds visitors with a starry sky and invites them on a short journey from the depths of the earth to the distant universe. The approximately three-minute 360° projection with original music gradually dissolves the boundaries of space and opens a view into the infinite cosmos even without visiting a classic planetarium.

MOON
Author: DEPO2015 crew (CZ)
Cathegory: light installation
The Moon, likely formed from the debris of Earth after a collision with an alien planet 4.5 billion years ago, is a planet whose gravity shapes the tides of the oceans and helps stabilize the tilt of the Earth's axis, influencing the rhythm of life on the entire planet. Its glowing form, cratered and detailed, appears in a landscape of kaolin mines that itself resembles distant worlds.

STAR JUKEBOX
Author: BvČ kolektiv (CZ)
Cathegory: interactive installation
The universe has always been an inspiration for philosophers, scientists, composers, artists and other dreamers. Our star jukebox will allow visitors to play one of the famous songs inspired by the universe and infinity.

REEDS
Author: Benedikt Tolar (CZ)
Cathegory: laser installation
Tirelessly swaying clusters of flexible giant stalks, combined with laser projection, create a futuristic scenery of nature from the distant future – or from another galaxy. With his characteristic humor, the author uses discarded elements as building materials: fiberglass tent poles.
